Good afternoon, sellers,
Before anything else, here’s the quick version.
TL;DR
Seller pickup is from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM tonight only.
There are no alternate pickup times.
There are no penalties if you choose not to come back.
If your items are still in the building at 7:30 PM, they will be donated.
If you sold most of your inventory and feel good about leaving the rest, just leave it. No email, message, or explanation is needed.
Now, the rest.
Our Fall Sale has gone incredibly well.
Sunday Half-Off Day has been amazing so far. We have had steady traffic through the building, shoppers seem happy, and thousands more items have found new homes today.
As of last night, we were ahead of our previous largest Fall Sale and had sold more of the available inventory by this point in the event. We are grateful for the quality you brought and for the trust you placed in us this season.
The store is still open until 3:00 PM today, so there is more selling time left. Please continue sending anyone who loves a bargain our way.
Now, let’s talk about what to expect tonight.
Seller pickup is from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM tonight only.
- There are no alternate pickup times.
- There are no penalties if you choose not to come back.
If there are items you absolutely want back and you are willing to drive to the Ag Center for them, please come between 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM. If you do not come, your remaining items will simply be donated. That’s it.
At 7:30 PM, all remaining items will be marked for donation.
At 8:00 PM, 35 registered foster and kinship placement families will shop the remaining inventory. These families will bring documentation, and this is always one of the most meaningful parts of the entire sale.
Afterward, more than 30 local Western North Carolina nonprofit organizations will receive items based on the specific wish lists they submitted. This allows Wee Trade Gives Back to provide organizations with items they can actually use to serve local families throughout the season.
A few logistics so you know exactly what to expect:
The store closes at 3:00 PM. It takes some time to get the final shoppers through checkout and out of the building. As soon as the last shopper has checked out, we will upload the final sold reports to My Sale Manager.
Cell service and internet access inside the Ag Center are unreliable. We will have computers available in the hallway so you can log in and review your sold items during pickup.
Your remaining items are NOT sorted by consignor number.
You will walk through the sales floor and pull your own items from the departments where they were located. Please allow yourself enough time to walk through the building and gather anything you want to take home.
If you had items pulled for quality control, they are still here. Some were stickered and returned to the sales floor. Others are located in a separate quality-control area ON THE FLOOR.
Nothing has been removed from the building before seller pickup. Even items marked for donation will remain physically inside the room until pickup ends, so you may still take your items home if you find them before 7:30 PM.
A quick community reminder while we are here:
This is resale. It is secondhand. Honest mistakes happen.
Please do not post consignor numbers, public complaints, or callouts on social media. The overwhelming majority of purchases were wonderful, and that is what we want to celebrate.
If something genuinely needs our attention or could become a helpful teaching moment, please email us and allow our team to address it. We can communicate patterns and reminders to the larger group when needed. This community is built on generosity, sustainability, and goodwill, and we want to protect that.
We will remain in the building through Tuesday at 5:00 PM completing breakdown and donations. We will return to the office Wednesday and begin working through emails then.
If something is truly urgent next week, please use the word URGENT in the subject line, and we will address it once we are back in the office.
You will also hear from us Wednesday with more information about the final sale numbers and when to expect your payment.
For anyone who would like to help with donation sorting tomorrow, we will be at the Ag Center from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM pulling hangers and pins and organizing donations.
These are community service hours through Chances for Children Carolinas, not Busy Bee hours. We are happy to verify hours for teenagers or anyone else who needs documented service time. The separate Busy Bee breakdown shifts have already been assigned.
Thank you for participating in the Wee Trade Fall Sale. Thank you for bringing great inventory, supporting other local families, and making Wee Trade Gives Back possible.
We are finishing strong.
Anna, Tracey, Peter, Kyle, and the entire Wee Trade Team
